Returns and Cancellations [Purchasing Power]

Returns

When it comes to returns, Purchasing Power makes several distinctions between items. There are different processes for small items and large (freight) items. Small items refer to purchases that are fulfilled by common distributors, such as: UPS, USPS, or FedEx. These are items that fit in boxes, such as a coffee machine or a set of silverware. Large items are items that ship via freight. These are larger furniture items such as: fridges or couches.

Defective or Incorrect Small Items

If you receive the wrong item or if your item is defective, you’re eligible to make a return within 30-days (For portable electronics, like tablets/cellphones you are limited to a 14-day return).

Note that personal electronic devices like tablets/cellphones should be wiped before they are returned. All personal data needs to be removed in order to proceed with the return process.

Changed your Mind? – Small Items

Purchasing Power’s cancellation window varies from purchase to purchase. In most cases, you will be able to cancel an order while it is processing, simply go to “my account” and click cancel order.

If you do not see the cancel order button, the order has already been processed and it is too late to cancel.

If you receive your item and decide you do not want it, you can return the item for a $35 return fee. The item needs to be unopened and in its original packaging. Purchasing Power inspects all returns before issuing a refund.

Defective or Incorrect Large Items

Freight and furniture items have a 48-hour window to be returned if they are damaged, incorrect, or defective.

When purchasing a freight or furniture item, Purchasing Power requests that you thoroughly inspect the item for defects before signing for them when they are delivered. Refuse the shipment of any items that are defective or damaged and then contact Purchasing Power immediately

If, after review, the item is deemed not damaged, you are subject to a fee up to $350.

Contact Purchasing Power if you find any defects/problems with an item you purchase. For some items they might direct you to the manufacturer/warranty provider. Reminder that fees apply to any returns on functioning/undamaged items.
